In addition to the latest guidelines certified by the Canadian Red Cross, this course meets federal and provincial regulations for Basic Life Support and CPR/AED, including WSIB.
You'll complete this course knowing how to:
Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
Use an AED effectively in emergency situations
Provide ventilations using a bag-valve-mask (BVM)
Assess breathing and check for a pulse
Respond to airway obstructions (choking)
Coordinate with other responders in a team setting
Apply rapid assessment skills in clinical emergencies
Communicate clearly and effectively during resuscitation scenarios
